Grand Theft Auto Series for Spike TV?

Spike TV is undergoing a “manly makeover” and will be introducing several new TV series this fall, perhaps including one based on the Grand Theft Auto video game series. Variety reports that this overhaul of its programming will be more mature and male oriented than in the past.

Spike TV, which already has several video game themed shows, including their own Spike TV Video Game Awards, is considering a “sort of live-action take on the videogame Grand Theft Auto.

The article does not say whether this proposed series will be a fully licensed adaptation of the Rockstar crime/action game series or just a show inspired by GTA.
