Koei must’ve realized that the same old formula for Dynasty Warriors was getting a bit old, so they decided to pack a new twist into the game that those who got the Japanese version have already tried out. Instead of just sticking with your Musou attacks, the warriors of the Three Kingdoms can now take superhuman forms and take the fight to the skies.

Dynasty Warriors has always been known for its fun one-man-army hack-and-slash gameplay, but this time, Koei quadruples the fun with multiplayer features via ad-hoc, where up to four can join together to form a Strikeforce. With this serious ramp up in power, your foes will now include heavily-defended forts, huge monsters, and a flying Lu Bu that I’d love to take down.

Koei will whip out some DLC for the game later this year, and expect additional quests to come for free. Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce finally hits stores on April 28th, 2009. I wonder if there will be an Xtreme Legends expansion for this one.
