Guild Wars - Image 1In its attempt to provide players a global experience, ArenaNet just released an update for NCsoft‘s Guild Wars that allows players from Korean language districts to visit American and European districts. Soon, Japan and Taiwan will also be able to interact with western players without having to go to International Districts. More on this at the full article.

Korean players from Arirang of Korea guild - Image 1ArenaNet is finally removing the barriers that kept Korean players of NCsoft‘s Guild Wars from visiting districts of other languages. Aside from the International District, players from Korea can now interact with the rest of the world by visiting actual American and European districts.

This is just the first step of ArenaNet’s mission to provide a global experience, because future updates are going to allow Japanese and Taiwanese players to sail from their respective districts to other language districts.

It is not yet certain if players from America and Europe will be able to visit Asian language districts in the future, but ArenaNet did say the end result of its updates should be a version of Guild Wars in which players from any language district can travel to any other language district, so it won’t be surprising if GW players achieve total freedom soon.
