Hakushon Daimao won’t be in US release of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom

Hakushon Daimao - Image 1Due to some unspecified licensing issues, the star of his own 1970s anime series, Hakushon Daimao, won’t be joining the US version of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. Its game producer, Ryota Niitsuma, made the confirmation through his interview with Siliconera, so for those who know this lovable sneeze-Genie, too bad.

Its game producer, Ryota Niitsuma, made the confirmation through his interview with Siliconera, so for those who know this lovable sneeze-Genie, too bad.

“I guess itÂ’s OK to tell everyone this now,” said Niitsuma. “HeÂ’s [Hakushon Daimao] not in the game. We had some licensing issues with him so we werenÂ’t able to obtain him for the American version.” It does, however, come with a reprieve. Daimao will be replaced by new characters (yes, plural), although Niitsuma didn’t drop a name for now.
