Halo 2 for the PC slips to May 25th release

We’re sorry to report to PC fans in the UK that the release of Halo 2 (Vista) has been moved to the 25th of May, instead of the 18th for which it was originally slated. That means that the game’s release will not coincide with that of Windows Live’s launch, foiling what could have been a great day for Microsoft.

It’s always been a common practice in the game industry to have a killer game released at the same date as that of a major service or hardware launch. Although the game was released more than two years ago in the original Xbox, it’s still holding its own in the Xbox Live gaming network.

Retail stores like GAME and Virgin have confirmed the word. Let’s hope there aren’t any more delays to the port of one of the best shooters we’ve ever seen.
