Halo: Evolutions story collection coming this November

Can’t get enough of your Halo collectibles? Then you’re just right in time cos Tor Books has announced that the Halo: Evolutions story collection is coming your way soon. As the name suggests, it is a collection of short stories from Halo novelists.
Included in the roster of authors are Eric Nylund and Tobias Buckell, as well as Gears of War: Jacinto’s Remnant author, Karen Travis. The set is described to feature “a wide variety of tales set across the span of the Halo universe”.
Said Eric Raab, Tor editor, in the press release they sent out:
There are so many interesting and exciting playgrounds that are spawning from every Halo offering. This is a great chance to watch writers have some fun with these areas and expand on some of the unexplored mythos and characters, while at the same time creating new ones as well. Think of the short story collection as a new litter of Halo stories, each excitingly unique.
The movie may still be reported as “on hold,” but the short stories collection is definitely set to arrive on November 24, 2009.
