Fortunately, series creator Hideo Kojima from Kojima Productions have comforting words that should keep everyone satisfied. Sneak your way to the full article to hear what he has to say.

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots by Kojima Productions - Image 1Kojima Productions’ head honcho Hideo Kojima, the genius behind the renowned Metal Gear franchise, sat down for an interview to discuss about the future of famed super soldier Solid Snake after his story ends in Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. He mentioned interesting tidbits that fans will enjoy, such as love for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and plans after the surefire hit exclusive hits the Sony PlayStation 3.

After previously saying Metal Gear Solid will indeed live on even without him at the helm, Kojima made it clear that we won’t see the last of Solid Snake just yet. “Maybe it’ll be a novel or a comic – I do have some ideas,” he said. “However, I have to say that I’m not going to do everything… I won’t be the total creator of that series if it happens.”

Another noteworthy part of the lengthy interview is Kojima’s confession of letting Call of Duty 4 open new windows for his staff. The prominent game creator explained that there’s a lot to learn from the successful first-person shooter which seemed substantially different from what his crew has been used to. With this, we can sort of tell what inspired Metal Gear Online‘s  equippable abilities akin to CoD4‘s perks.

Meanwhile, Kojima expressed interest in reviving older games he made when he was still with Konami that fans have been clamoring for. However, Kojima Productions’ main man said he’ll only take the producer role if there was to be another Zone of the Enders title or a Snatcher remake. “I’d really want to start something really fresh and new,” he stated.
