High-def decapitation: 300 hits Xbox Live Video Marketplace

300 banner - Image 1Looks like Microsoft is making good on its promise from the previous Comic-Con. We’ve just picked up word that Zack Snyder’s “300” is now available for download over at North America‘s Xbox Live Video Marketplace.

In case you’re among the guys who hasn’t heard of the film, “300” tells the tale of King Leonidas as he and 300 fellow Spartan soldiers take part in the Battle of Thermopylae.  They stood to defend Greece from a massive invasion by the Persian Army.

The movie is available in two versions (SD and HD), with the HD version requiring 5.3 GB of HDD space – make sure to clean out all your old demos and trailers, folks. As we’ve stated, this is just for North America, with Europe’s Video Marketplace expected to kick in later on this year.
