It’s been a while since we last heard news about it until we learned that ector released the source code for the project recently. The coder said he didn’t have the time to pursue it anymore, that’s why he released the code. That means everyone’s free to tinker with the unfinished emulator for improvements and hardware emulation.

“I can’t dedicate any more time to it, so anyone who’s really bored should continue the project,” says ector. He adds that the way to go would be to “either by improving the simulated PSP OS, or adding proper hardware emulation so that some decrypted Custom Firmware can be executed.”

“It’s a user mode only MIPS emulator with a bare bones implementation of the PSP OS,” continues ector. “No hardware registers are emulated, but display lists are parsed and executed.”

We’ve got the source file on the download link below if you think you have the time and passion to carry on where ector left off. This is a project that received a lot of attention at its onset and is expected to draw even more people if further progress is made.
