If Chaucer Had Been A Gamer, His Blog Would Look Like This…

Had Geoffrey Chaucer lived in this century, he would, since he was a writer after all, have a blog.

He would have friends and neighbors who will let him play with their Exboxe CCCLX. Afterwards, he would write a game review which goes: All your Aquitaine... huh?

“DONKEYE-KYNGE: Yn thys game, ye playe a peasaunt who hath yn his care a smal donkeye. Ye use the gentil beeste to dryve yower carte and to transporte donge, for which ye are payde ful litel, and yet ye muste kepe obeiant and meke to wards the bettir and mower substantiale menne of yower village. At the ende of XX minutes, a purveyor of the kinge cometh and taketh aweye the donkey, and the ye, the pesaunte, are sesed wyth despayr and do falle deed. Then ye, the playere, are rankid by how manye piles of donge ye hauen transportid and wyth howe much meekeness.

Well, actually… a couple of bloggers under the handles LeVostreGC and Katherine de Swineford from the UK just simply decided to give a new (old?) twist to their everday blogging. And the result was a very interesting read, indeed. For the untrained though, there’s no need to worry as they have included links on their blog which directs you to online guides on how to… um, translate their writing. Oh, and they also have some pretty nifty shirt designs, by the way.

Now, who ever said that gamers didn’t know their classics?
