Insomniac working on new PS3 title

While a lot of developers have chosen to go the multiplatform route to increase sales and reach, Insomniac Games has revealed that they will still be sticking with Sony for their next release.

While a lot of developers have chosen to go the multiplatform route to increase sales and reach, Insomniac Games has revealed that they will still be sticking with Sony and is currently developing a new game exclusively for the PS3.

Given Insomniac’s long years of exclusivity with Sony, the PS3-exclusive game doesn’t really come as a surprise. The announcement does end speculation that Insomniac could go multiplatform after Resistance 2, though.

Late last year, Insomniac CEO Ted Price said that they “see games that are multiplatform succeeding wildly, and doing great, and that too is a fantastic place to be.” I guess their deal with Sony just proved to be more fantastic.
