Is Blizzard looking to tweak Warrior?

The devs say no, but we're not the devs. - Image 1Of course Blizzard says “No means NO!!!” to further Class Review calls, especially for Warriors. Yet Tseric‘s latest blue post on the World of Warcraft forums doesn’t discount that the devs have completely shut the door on adjusting Warriors in the future. Except that the devs are also saying that it’s not how they built Warriors, but the gear you carry that’s the reason why you can’t be all that you can be as a Warrior.

The devs would agree that the Warrior has some performance issues in PvP. They are keeping this in mind for future adjustments. However, they also want to see more of the warrior population level and gear up to hit end-game, where various weapons and items are going to change the average performance of warriors.

Things like having the PvP trinkets on a 2 minute cooldown rather than previously as a 5 minute cooldown is something they’d like to see more players get their hands on. While a lot of warriors are concerned with early/mid-game leveling and see imbalances there, the warrior’s gear dependancy factors into this a fair amount.

To put this answer into context, the thread this was posted on was yet another Warrior Balance Adjust thread, which pointed out that if Blizzard can adjust Rogues, why not Warriors? Read in as many ways as possible, the consensus here is that Blizzard devs aren’t saying no to future adjusts, but typical engineers that they are, they probably want to see more gameplay data from mid-level Warriors before they decide. Hence, “encouraging” Warriors to work their calloused arses off getting to end-level and appropriate gear.

Guess they still frown on protest marches, too.
