Sonic Rush Adventure will feature the same 2D action featured in Sonic Rush, but the “Adventure” part here might not have anything to do with the Sonic Adventure series. New is a touchscreen-enabled “high seas adventure” gameplay section where you sail across waters, search for buried treasure, and fight villainous pirates led by Eggman Metal Sonic Captain Whisker. Sonic and Tails get to crew five sailable ships, including a water bike, a hovercraft, and a submarine. A submarine?

Sonic Rush Adventure will also support Wi-Fi and Download Play for racing and mission-based battles. The game’s developed by SEGA Studios and should sail to stores in Autumn 2007.
