Jeanne d’Arc in SGD: Where is the love?

Jeanne d’Arc, a promising tactical game developed by Level 5, was already received warmly by Japan since its November 22 release. Unfortunately, it got neglected during Sony‘s Gamers Day no thanks to Uncharted: Drake’s Legend and Heavenly Sword.

Siliconera reports that the Jeanne d’Arc demo stations received little to no attention while other titles in the PSP booth got all the glory. It’s a bit surprising that something from established JRPG developer Level 5 would be ignored, but reports say that the game is all good.

Jeanne can move around a detailed topography, walking down the streets to find ladders and climb roofs. There are plenty of tactics you can use too, like moving in formation to gain bonuses from each other. Even if the demo was easy enough with overpowered characters at hand, it looks like not much visitors had enough attention span to try out a tactical game. Afterall, games like this kinda take a lot of time…

The game is expected to reach US and Canada in August, while there’s no info about a European release as of now. Hopefully, people from the west can give this title a shot.
