Twenty-five years and still going strong, Jeopardy!, one of the most famous television quiz shows, will soon be stepping on to the next-gen platform. Shalom Mann, Studio Head for Sony Online Entertainment, was happy to announce the game’s upcoming arrival on the PlayStation Network this September 11.

While various versions of Jeopardy! have already been translated for both the PC and mobile platforms, the PSN version clearly shines in terms of visuals and real-time multiplayer capabilities. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be any sign of the real-life host, Alex Trebek, in this latest digitized version of the game.

The game will feature over 2,500 clues and categories, as well as various online and offline multiplayer match-up all set in real-time. An expansion pack has also been planned for, although this won’t be released until next year.

Another thing the devs are looking into is the addition of voice recognition to answer the questions. However, this may still take some time before this is actually implemented. If you’re wondering how the game will look like, you can watch a video of it in action below.

On a final note, Mann also mentioned that a PSN version of Wheel of Fortune is also in the works. Hopefully, they’ll also be able to include an HD version Vanna White somewhere in the game.
