Killzone 2 coming to Japan, with not one, but two demos

Although history would show that FPS games aren’t that hot in Japan, SCEE‘s still taking the leap of faith anyway, bringing Killzone 2 to the region a month after North America and Europe gets their shipment.

April 23 is the  said release date for Japan, and will carry a tag price of Â¥ 6980 (about US$ 78), a bit higher compared to the US$ 56 retail price we have here. Then again, they are getting a demo, two of them in fact. Yeah, just when we thought we’re finally getting something ahead of Japan, they still edge us out by getting something we don’t.

Come March, they’ll be releasing in Japan a demo where players can try out a selection from the campaign mode’s prologue. And then later, they’ll be getting an online demo. As far as I know, we’re only getting one demo: for those who pre-ordered, you’ll be getting it next week. For those who didn’t, you’ll be getting it on PSN the day before the release.

Oh well. Here are some screenshots for the Japanese release. Not so sure if they’ll be dubbing it, but obviously, they’re going for the subs. Oh, and there’s also a newly opened Japanese Killzone 2 site put up. You might wanna check that out too, in case you’re interested.
