Konami reveals blockbuster lineup for E3

Snake, are you there? - Image 1We all know Konami never holds anything back when it comes to big video game events, and this year’s E3 is no different. Just now, the gaming giant announced nine games that will be showing off some flair under Konami’s belt during the party.

Dance Dance Revolution: Hottest Party for the Wii is sure to dominate the dance floor, along with Dance Dance Revolution SuperNOVA 22 for the PS2 to revitalize the arcade hit that made players get off their comfortable couch to do some dancing and break some sweat. Featuring crowd favorite songs and new innovative game modes, we expect buckets of sweat and tons of fun.

A couple more titles will be hitting the Wii: cutesy water droplet action Dewy’s Adventure, and a fishing game Fishing Master developed by Hudson Entertainment. This new bait for angler orgy will feature the use of the Wiimote and Nunchuck as rod and reel, as players utilize different baits to hook up more than 100 fish in their quest to be the Fishing Master.

Konami’s PSP offering during E3 will include much anticipated Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles from the undying, vampire slaying franchise. We have seen so much from this game that depriving people on E3 of a hands-on experience would be criminal.

The mini-sized installment on what is arguably the best psychological horror series there is, Silent Hill, will be hitting Sony‘s handheld with Silent Hill Origins. Talks of Travis O’Grady trucking over the DS came up a few ways back, but it doesn’t look like it’ll happen this E3.

More on this after the jump!

Contra 4 for the DS, the latest entry to a classic sideshooter arcade hit, will be joining Konami’s monster E3 lineup. Bill Rizer and Lance Bean will be making a comeback and join forces with hard-boiled mercs Mad Dog and Scorpion to battle alien scum lead by Black Viper. Announced not too long ago with a 2007 release, we can expect more on this game when the big event comes.

Another title that would grace Konami’s space at E3 will be Hellboy: The Science of Evil for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PSP. Following the popular comic series, players will be using the Right Hand of Doom to kick Nazi butt. Voice talent cast for the game was already revealed earlier today, and more exciting stuff are bound to come.

Finally, Konami Kids Playground – an upcoming series of “Edutainment” PS2 games for toddlers – aims to educate kids the fun way. A game mat will be provided for all Kids Playground titles to play various games such as Frogger Hop, Skip & Jumpin’ Fun, Alphabet Circus, Dinosaur Shapes and Colors and Toy Pals Fun with Numbers.

Of all these heavy titles, only Hellboy and Contra 4 don’t have a fall release date, but they should come soon after. What we can’t miss, however, is the absence of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots in the lineup. As far as we know, a demo using PS3’s hardware should be crashing the party. Then again, Hideo Kojima is one sneaky guy… it’s almost certain that old Snake will be around, either hiding with OctoCamo or fooling around under a box.
