Konami unveils details on MGS4 UK Limited Edition release - Image 1We’ve got great news to fans in the UK who are eagerly waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. Konami, the company behind this much anticipated action game, has just revealed the details on the Limited Edition release.

This particular release has a retail price of about GBP 79.99 (around US$ 157) and comes with three goodies. Here’s what in-store for those who order the game from Play:

  • 6″ Old Snake ‘Olive Drab’ action figure
  • “The Making Of Metal Gear Solid 4” documentary on Blu-ray Disc
  • Official Metal Gear Solid 4 soundtrack

Also, there’s also a possibility that this particular edition might come with the “collectible packaging with exclusive artwork by famed Kojima Productions illustrator Yoji Shinkawa,” just like the Limited Edition for the US. So far, there’s still no confirmation about it.

Furthermore, a special DVD called Metal Gear Saga Vol. 2, a seven-part documentary on the series and its evolution, is going to be given to those who have pre-ordered or will pre-order the title from GAME.

With this released information, Konami’s European marketing director, Martin Schneider said:

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots is rightly seen as the stand-out title for 2008, and we were determined to come up with something special for its launch.

With interest so high, it is only right that we reward fans of the series for pre-ordering the game, and the Metal Gear Saga DVD is a stunning look at how the series has evolved into the phenomenon it has become. Likewise, the Limited Edition is a celebration of all things Metal Gear, and will be prized by those who buy it.
