Lair gets renamed in Japan

Much like the Drakengard (aka Drag-on Dragoon) series before it, there’s something about dragons in games that makes people want to rename the title. In this case, the recipient of the renaming scheme will be Factor 5‘s Lair title, which will be known in Japan as Rise from Lair.

In Japan, expect cries of “Raisu furomu Reru!” to erupt once the game comes out sometime later this year. For folks in the United States and elsewhere, you’re still going to have to contend with the similarly enigmatic Lair monicker when the game comes out in your respective countries.

Oh well. At least you know what to look for if you’re planning on importing the game. Reportedly, it’s tagged at JPY 5,980, or around US$ 48.
