LucasArts and Traveller’s Tales’ LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, DS) allows gamers to relive all six Star Wars chapters in a very unique way. After playing through the initial releases of the game, I can openly say seeing a Lego Chewbacca carry C3P0 on his back is a dream come true for any Star Wars geek.

The game introduces new levels, characters and features not found in the LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game and LEGO Star Wars II: The Original Trilogy making this worth picking up even if you have the first two games. The levels added include Episode II’s high-speed pursuit of bounty hunter Zam Wessel. In addition to this, the Mos Espa Pod Race and Gunship Cavalry have been redesigned making it less linear than before.

The game will be relatively unique for every platform. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be getting online two-player co-op play. The Wii version will obviously be getting Waggle, while the DS version of the game will be taking advantage of the handheld’s touchscreen.

LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga would make a solid addition to any gaming library. If you’re planning on picking this up for yourself or a loved one, the game is slated to be released this September 11.

Here are a few other things that the game will have:

  • New playable characters like Watto, Zam Wessell, Boss Nass and more bring the total count to over 120.
  • The upgraded Character Customizer includes all Prequel Trilogy characters for the first time, while also expanding its customization options well beyond those in LEGO Star Wars II, for millions more possibilities. Create cross-Trilogy mash-up characters like Han Windu and Lando Amidala.
  • New game features include enhanced Force powers, new power-ups, and a new Challenge Mode.
  • For the first time, every Prequel Trilogy character – even those without the Force – can build, as well as jump into and out of the vehicles they create.
  • New bonus levels and 10 additional Bounty Hunter Missions offer new challenges in the Prequel Trilogy.
  • Peek behind the scenes with the bonus video The Building of LEGO Star Wars.

The game will be relatively unique for every platform. Both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 will be getting online two-player co-op play. The Wii version will obviously be getting Waggle, while the DS version of the game will be taking advantage of the handheld’s touchscreen.
