Line up for Nintendo Wii UK tour details

As many of you know, the Wii is having a world tour. It’s hit Japan (naturally) and Australia. There were rumors that either the Australia or UK tour would be cancelled, but things look fine and beautiful. So, for our UK readers across the Atlantic (er, the “pond”, as you so endearingly call it), here are the details of the Nintendo Wii tour. It looks like the Wii is hitting all the major population centers and then some.

For those in counties the Wii tour has ignored, you better start planning your itinerary. Christmas is coming, so why not give yourself and early treat and have some Wii-related fun?

Please Sir, I want a Wii, Sir.Speaking of “Wii-related fun”, you should plan how you’re going to explain the “Wii” to all the older people who think you’re being vulgar. “Mother, I want a Wii” and “Mother, the Wii’s on the tele” still sound a bit off.

Finally, that hot-tempered Irish nun from my Catholic School is going to kill me if I don’t mention that this “UK tour” involves more than the United Kingdom; the Wii’s going to Dublin, too!

Here’s the schedule (thanks to Jon A. for alerting us to this development):

10 – 12 November: Toys 4 Big Boys, Dublin; Good Food Show, London
15 November: Birmingham University and Glasgow University
16 – 18 November: Bluewater Shopping Centre, Kent; Buchanan Galleries, Glasgow; Bullring, Birmingham; Churchill Square, Brighton
22 – 26 November: Good Food Show, Birmingham NEC
23 – 25 November: Lakeside, Essex
24 – 26 November: UK Golf Show, Birmingham NEC
29 November: Sheffield University and Bristol University
30 November – 2 December: Meadowhall, Sheffield; Cribbs Causeway, Bristol; The Oracle, Reading
1 – 6 December: Clothes Show Live 2006, Birmingham NEC
4-10 December: Luton Airport and Gatwick Airport
6 December: Manchester University (by the way, lovely calendars, hehe) and UCD, Dublin University
7 – 9 December: Arndale Centre, Manchester
7 – 10 December: Liffey Valley, Dublin
11 – 17th December: Gatwick South and Stanstead Airport
13 December: Trinity College Dublin
14 – 17 December: The Mall Arndale, Luton
18 – 24 December: Centre MK, Milton Keynes
22 – 24 December: Irn Bru Carnival, Glasgow SECC

One last thing, “Mother, I play with my Wii using a handheld device” is the best line we can come up with. Absolute geniuses, some of our writers are. We should be writing for “Midsomer Murders”.
