Lineage II Chronicle 5: A Weapons Guide

Lineage 2

As an expansion, Lineage II Chronicle 5: Oath Of Blood offers even more weapons and equipment in comparison to the original game, and choosing the right weapon is important for every character. Depending on your class, the choice of a weapon will affect you differently. The most important addition in Oath Of Blood is a blood-stained sword especially designed for PvP combat, and it will be the most unique weapon in the whole game – so we will introduce you to it now..

We’re talking about The Demonic Sword Zariche, a weapon of slaughter that’s supposed to bring even more chaos and mayhem to PvP combat. While all monsters in the world have the chance to drop the Zariche, there is only one that exists simultaneously in the world, and the earth will shake upon it’s arrival.

The player wielding the Demonic Sword will automatically turn into a player killer, will have his health and magic points instantly recovered and combat points enhanced. To defeat such a mighty foe, the other players will have to team up if they want to survive.

With a Zariche-equipped player involved in a PvP fight, the default PvP rules of the game are slightly changed. Usually, losing players will receive penalties for their death, but not so when facing a character that holds the Zariche. Neither combatants will be punished for their defeat, and will simply be re-spawned in the nearest village.

To outweigh the extreme advantages of the Zariche, players wielding it are going to face some limitations. They won’t be able to attack players level 20 or below, cannot join a party and cannot receive heals or buffs from other players.

The Zariche is so powerful that it won’t stay permanently with the player. They’ll lose it after a while, even when not defeated. Should another player be able to kill a Zariche-wielder, he or she can pick up the mighty sword themselves, and thus become the most powerful player in Lineage II.
