And today’s news kicks off with an update from LittleBigPlanet. In case you guys haven’t noticed yet, Patch 1.03 is already up and ready for grabs. Now don’t keep them sackboys waiting!

So what’s new with Patch 1.03? Did another song get karaoke-fied? Reports from most corners are clueless on what 1.03 actually fixes, but it seems that most agree the patch was introduced to address server issues.

 According to tipster RedSpecial and other sources, the patch fixed some lagging and freezing issues. Sony said fairly recently that they are still “investigating the cause” of the online issues, and Eurogamer says that the game’s performance in America is not being kept on close watch to see whether they would need to issue fixes for the European launch next week.

Needless to say (but I’ll say it anyway) that it’s unfortunate a great game like LittleBigPlanet should be marred by online issues, but I don’t doubt that a fix will be ready soon. Hopefully server issues will be resolved soon so we can enjoy the game properly.
