The release date of Lost Planet: Extreme Condition for the PlayStation 3 was revealed last month to be February 26. In anticipation of its release, Capcom recently released a multiplayer demo for the game on the PlayStation Store yesterday.

Unfortunately, the Lost Planet demo was taken down due to some issues but the Capcom team is currently working on it and will upload the new version on the PlayStation Network when its ready.

While we wait, here’s some info on what you can expect from the demo once it goes back up. The full retail version of Lost Planet will support 16 players on multiplayer, but the demo will only support up to 8 players.

The full game will have four multiplayer modes, but only two will be featured in the demo game: Elimination mode (your typical deathmatch mode) and Team Elimination. The full game will also have Post Grab and Fugitive modes.

The demo will have only one multiplayer map: Pirate Fortress. Hey if you’re gonna play only one multiplayer map, you can’t go wrong with a map with the word Pirate in it. Check back for updates!
