Majesco bringing Tumiki Fighters to the Wii according to GameFly

This should be good news for gamers who love off-beat titles. Video game rental service GameFly has included a listing for Tumiki Fighters, a freeware game for the PC that is, as Siliconera’s Spencer describes, “one part Air Zonk and one part Katamari Damacy.”

Tumiki Fighters is a side-scrolling shooter where a player controls a ship made of blocks — just like everything else in this game’s landscape. As players destroy enemies, parts of their enemies’ ships fall off; if the player catches them, they can stick to the player’s plane in whatever position they were in upon impact. These extra parts can then serve as extra armor and firepower for the player’s ship.

GameFly currently has Tumiki Fighters under the fighting game category, but Siliconera suggests that it could be an oversight since the title sounds like a fighting game. Tumiki Fighters is currently slated for a Wii release according to the GameFly database and will supposedly be published by Majesco.
