Malaysia PS3 launch played to the tune of Zelda
It’s always funny for us to see corporate launches promote a product that is their competitors’. We’ve seen it with Apple, and we’ve also seen Microsoft fumble their way with a crashed OS – that they were actually presenting. Today Sony takes that stage, to the tune of Zelda.
This video here is a clip on Sony‘s PS3 launch in Malaysia. The event was reported to have sported the Soul Calibur 4 theme since it was the headlined launch game in the country, and everything seemed to be going pretty well. Until the music played.
Instead of hearing something from SC4 – or anything else from Sony for that matter – what the audience heard instead was the familiar tune of Nintendo’s Zelda. Bloopers much, isn’t it? Anyway, this isn’t meant to fan a fanboys war; it’s just for laughs. After all, this isn’t the first time we’ve seen a corporate launch muck up by accidentally promoting the competition. Remember when Apple’s presentation suddenly showed it was running on Windows?
We’re thinking the event organizers weren’t much of gamers themselves.
