carnageIt was late december last year when the downloadable characters for Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 suddenly and silently went MIA from both the PlayStation Store and the Xbox Live Marketplace. It’s been quite a while, but Cable, Magneto, Black Panther, Carnage, and Psylocke are now back in action.

The reason for the characters and challenge missions being taken down was because a only a limited time arrangement was agreed upon for the DLC. This time is no different – they will all be available only until December 31st, 2010, after which they’ll be pulled from the online stores once again.

As of now, the characters and additional challenge missions have returned to the Marketplace, while the PS3 version will have to wait until a later date. Pricing will be at 800 Microsoft Points or US$ 9.99. In addition to their temporary return, Activision is offering Juggernaut, the pre-order incentive, on sale for 160 points or $1.99.
