Media Create software sales: November 23 – 29, 2009

professorlaytonAfter getting the top 10 underperformers in Japan for 2009, let’s take a look at the top 10 best sellers in the land of the rising sun for the week of November 23 through 29, 2009. Just as the underperformers list was littered with DS and Wii games, so is Media Create’s software sales bombarded with DS and Wii games. Nine out of ten are for the Nintendo consoles, and only one non-Nintendo console title made it in.

Nine out of ten are for the Nintendo consoles, and only one non-Nintendo console title made it in.

 

Topping the list is Professor Layton and the Devil’s Flute, which debuted at the number one spot, selling 306,000 units. Pokemon HeartGold/ SoulSilver is still in the top three spot, selling 54,000 this week, resulting to 3,090,00 sales since its launch. The only non-DS, non-Wii title that made it to the top ten list is World Soccer Winning Eleven 2010, selling 20,000 units for the PS3.
