MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots to have online mode

MGS 4: Guns of the Patriots to have online mode - Image 1Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots might be the last iteration of the successful franchise and it seems that it’s going out in style and with an earth-shattering bang. During the PlayStation Premiere 2007 event, Hideo Kojima showed a demo of the game and announced that their team is working on an online mode.

Yup, much like the one in the previous title Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. In fact, Kojima explained that the success of Subsistence‘s online mode is what prompt them to incorporate a similar function to MGS 4. While details were not given, Kojima promised that more will be revealed during Metal Gear‘s 20th anniversary party next week.

Going back to the demo, it was revealed that Snake will have new abilities. These include a camouflage suit that allows him to disguise himself as a statue. And lastly, if you really want to know, the demo showed was apparently as good as all the trailer videos we’ve seen so far, if not even better.
