Michael Pachter: Electronic Arts could delay Grand Theft Auto 4's release date - Image 1Over at Gametrailers, they had Michael Pachter as a participant for a special segment called Bonus Round. In the video, Pachter made some forecasts regarding one of the biggest games to be released this year by Rockstar North, Grand Theft Auto 4 (PlayStation 3, Xbox 360).

Pachter said, “I think if EA takes over Take-Two, they have an economic incentive to delay [Grand Theft Auto IV].” These words are something that should be considered by those who are eagerly anticipating the game.

Futhermore, Pachter added that, “Take-Two, financially, has to get that game out […] They need the money. They need to get it out.” So, as you can see, both companies have different needs from the game. One wants to delay it, the other wants it out soon.

If the merger between Electronic Arts and Take-Two Interactive becomes a reality, you can kiss the April 29 release goodbye. You just have to wait for another release date. We know this can be a real shock to some of you.
