Innovation: That’s what MLB 07: The Show is all about. In a sea of sports titles that offer mostly annual roster updates and a few new features, this rookie definitely looks to set a new standard in ballpark excellence.
One key feature that the newest MLB offering offers is the all-new pitching system. The new mechanics is more AI-driven and gives premium to real-life strengths and weaknesses. Simply put, that means every pitcher has a distinct set of pitches that he’s good at. If you use a pitch that your man is good at, it comes out good most of the time. If you try to go to uncharted waters in an attempt to surprise the batter, there’s a good chance the coaching staff will do a surprise substitution to get you off the grass. In addition to the brand-spanking new pitch mechanics, MLB 07: The Show has a nice mode called Road to the Show which allows you to build up created players and guide him through his journey to stardom. More excitingly, there will definitely be an online league that will allow players to set up their own major leagues to see who really owns the diamond.
