Monster Hunter Frontier Online may get overseas release

Last week, Capcom unveiled Monster Hunter Frontier Online, an Xbox 360 port of the PC MMO. The Xbox 360 exclusive has been confirmed for Japan only at this time, but Capcom’s Keiji Inafune has made statements that hint at an overseas release.

“I feel Monster Hunter can definitely succeed overseas,” said Inafune in a recent interview with Famitsu.com. “There’s a high possibility that MHF will kickstart that.”

 

The Monster Hunter series, while immensely popular in Japan, has yet to make a significant impact on the overseas market. Monster Hunter Frontier Online‘s Xbox 360 exclusivity may help alleviate that if it does end up localized.
