More explosive details: Bomberman Live heads to XBLA this summer
“Tick-tock” goes the bomb and “boom” goes XBL: Bomberman Live is now set for a summer release. Yep, the elusive title’s finally got CONFIRMED written all over it. Because while we’ve seen some rather leaky pictures of the game just a few days ago, Hudson Entertainment (that’s the North American branch of the Hudson Soft corporate umbrella) has now officially confirmed the title with not just its projected release date but a whole list of details as well:
- support for 8-player online gameplay
- on the same system, 4 players can go head to head
- 10,000 possible ways to customize your Bomberman character
- high-definition graphics
In the same press release, Hudson Entertainment president John Greiner remains optimistic about their XBLA release, and states how Bomberman was one of the most wanted games to be brought online to Microsoft‘s network:
As our flagship series, Bomberman has been hailed as the best multiplayer game ever created. Now that Xbox Live Arcade delivers a truly worldwide multiplayer gaming platform, we can at last bring to market a Bomberman game that represents our long-term vision of the brand.
