More GTA IV stuff, dates, content, and trailers

 

Prepare to steal cars, rescue prostitutes, and avoid the all-feared “second star”.

Team Xbox reports that in its financial results conference call, Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that Grand Theft Auto IV will be shipped simultaneously for the Xbox 360 and the PS3 come this October. (Yeah, we gave an October 16 date before, this is basically further confirmation of that).

Take Two has also announced that Rockstar will introduce exclusive episodic content downloads for the game come 2008. Hopefully, by then, we’re all able to play the Game on our PS3s while we download the said content. That is of course, if most of the episodic content will be an exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of GTA IV. Don’t worry, reports have said that the PS3 downloads will be “pretty much the same” as the Xbox 360.

Okay, okay, we’re sorry. So far this isn’t new stuff. Here, we’ll make it up to you.

The GTAIV Official Site is now up, and if the counter on it is right, we can expect our first teaser trailer for the game on March 29.  Brace yourselves, because the potential number of folks who’ll download the trailer might just slow down the connection you’re on.
