More Halo 3 movie news and press previews

halo3We can’t get enough of Halo 3 news these days. Even before EGM gets delivered on your mailbox, Bungie keeps on clearing matters up concerning the Halo 3 movie franchise and some tidbits on the press previews of the game.

It seems that Microsoft and its partners, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh are having a grand time negotiating the deal with Universal and Fox, but because of the differences on “financial points of the deal”, the movie can’t be realized until Microsoft and team find a partner that would help them capture the essence of the true Halo spirit. We’re guessing you’re reading between the lines, like we do.

On the other hand, lucky press people, they’ve been able to get their hands on the “Pre-Alpha” multiplayer build of Halo 3. A handful of game journalists from Europe, EGM, and 1up.com, Famitsu Japan, and Gamer Magazine in Mexico press have been allowed to get a behind-the-scenes look at Halo 3 – with the condition that they’d keep things under wraps for the meantime. Bungie admits that the gameplay has already been ramped up to the point of playability but the graphics still lacked “lots of placeholder textures and default lighting.” And finally, if some of you guys still don’t know, Halo 3 will have at least three MP maps.
