Never mind if Ubisoft‘s Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions (PC, Xbox 360, PS3) had its flight delayed to August 31 instead of the previously announced spring release. We’ve got a whole lot of goodies in store for you today, and hopefully, this will more than make up for that little push back in schedule.

So, what do we have for you today? As promised, a lot. We have screenshots and a couple of videos from the Ubidays 07. But before that, let’s get to know Blazing Angels 2 just a little bit more. In the game, you will be playing the character of the leader of Operation Wildcard, which is an undercover and elite pilot squad created by the American government. As your group is undercover, obviously, you belong to a secret organization.

Your main mission is to sabotage and destroy the Third Reich’s plans of creating a weapon of mass destruction. But of course, things won’t be handed out to you in a silver platter. In the course of your operations, you find out that the bad guys have their own elite team that will be pitted against yours.

As for the key features, Ubisoft promises 18 high-stakes missions for you to take part in, wherein you’ll have to steal, secret weapons, destroy bridges, Zeppelins and more. The video you will see later on is on the Zeppelin Zapping gameplay. Anyhow, what else is in store for you here?

There are over 50 authentic planes and prototypes for you to fly in, including the Gotha Go 229, DH Vampire F Mk 1, Me-163 “Komet”, and Meteor, to name only a few. Of course, if you have kick ass vehicles, it’s only fair that you get kick ass weapons as well. So, you’ll have experimental WWII weapons, like the High Velocity Canons (ie. German Mk 103), Self-Guided and TV missiles.

Oh, and with all that action going on, you definitely wouldn’t want to be by your lonesome. That’s why Ubisoft made it such that up to 16 players can challenge each other in a free-for-all, co-op and squad-based missions, including the all new Epic Battle and Capture the Flag modes.

After all that information, we’re not yet done. Next up, you’ll find a video interview with Andre Fontana, Game Designer for Blazing Angels II. Here, he talks about the different missions and weapons, delving more into what was mentioned earlier. Meanwhile, the second video, as promised, is the Zeppelin Zapping gameplay. We’ve yakked more than enough. It’s time to let the videos and screenshots do the talking. Enjoy!
