NCSoft’s E3 Lineup

NCSoft LogoNCSoft, the creators of Guild Wars, will appear at the LA Convention Center in E3 to reveal their upcoming releases. Banking on the exposure the Expo is projected to attract, they promise to spill more details about their new and upcoming MMOs, hoping that the unveiling will entice more future gamers.

GWFactionsHeadlining the cast is of course, the expansion of Guild Wars titled, Factions. Featuring two new classes, the Assassin and Ritualist, Factions will carry a whole new storyline that enables players to pick a certain “faction”. Release date is already at April 28th, but it will still be appearing in this year’s E3 to further boost its popularity. Another Guild Wars chapter is set to be shown but not for the whole public though.

Lord BritishNext will be this sci-fi-centric Tabula Rasa. Richard Garriott (aka Lord British) spearheads this project; he’s the same dude who conceptualized and developed Ultima Online and other Ultima games. The characters are based on three kinds of attributes namely the body, the mind, and the spirit. The combat is fast-paced in such a way that a large number of players can take on a humongous number of computer-controlled foes. The PvP is not the typical type on other MMORPG’s where you battle to the death with another player/s, but rather it will be a number of competitive training exercises.

E3 LogoOther games that is set to make an E3 appearance will be Aion, another MMORPG that will be released in Korea this year; Dungeon Runners, a MMOG that is fantasy-based; and lastly Exteel, an online game that is about robots fighting each other.

I personally want to see Richard Garriott’s work on this game Tabula Rasa since the Ultima franchise is highly respected. Also I’m very curious on this new Guild Wars chapter considering they already have the upcoming Factions. How about you, which one are you most looking forward to?
