New batch of Sengoku Musou Wave screenies

Sengoku Musou Wave screens

Having first made a rather brief appearance at E3 2006, Sengoku Musou Wave is starting to make its presence felt, if only bit by bit. First there was the video clip which shows how one can finally relive those long-hidden samurai fantasies. Now, we have a new batch of screenshots, courtesy of the Japanese gaming source Famitsu.

Sengoku Musou Wave is a game which follows the footsteps of the popular hack-and-slash action game, Dynasty Warriors. Made by Koei, the player will have to swing the Wiimote as if it were a sword in order to defeat the oncoming horde of soldiers, defeat the enemy captain, or rescue the fleeing civilians.

Although there have been some qualms regarding the game’s graphics, the game still looks fun. Also, it’s still a work in progress, so it may be a good idea to give Koei a bit more time to polish their work. Not much information has been released about this game, though it is expected to debut in Japan some time in 2007 and is going to be priced at Â¥6090 or around US$ 52.
