New Missions and Quests for Treasures of Aht Urhgan

What’s she so happy about? No, she’s not tickling her underarms, although we couldn’t blame you for thinking that ‘coz it does look like that’s what she’s doing. What she’s really psyched about are the new missions in the continuation of the Treasures of Aht Urhgan storyline in Final Fantasy XI.

The game has been updated to include new missions that will reveal new monsters, new challenges, and the machinations of a famous Windurstian personage. The areas included in the Treasures of Aht Urhgan expansion disc will be the focus of the new quests, some of which will feature the Assault system, as well as new battle series aboard the Ashu Talif.

Like the other battlefields currently featured in the game, a treasure chest will appear to indicate that you have completed a quest, and gives you the opportunity to obtain new items including the Windurstian personage. The Assault-style quests will be unrestricted and unlockable regardless of mercenary rank once you reach a certain point in the Aht Urhgan missions. There will be no option for setting level limits.

As for member requirements, the new Assault-style missions will also require the same number of mercenaries (three to six) to go on these quests.
