If hype is a measure of how good a game will be, then Nintendo’s Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is going to be one of the top selling games this year. This game for the Wii looks really good and the storyline is a classic.

The storyline takes place a good six months since the Aether incident. The Network Computer of the Galactic Federation called the Aurora Unit has been corrupted by a virus-like entity. The Federation believes that space pirates are the reason for this corruption so they hire bounty hunters to hunt down the culprits, among them Samus Aran. During the briefing, the Federation is attacked by Dark Samus. From there, they realize that Dark Samus is wielding a power that threatens not only the Federation but the entire galaxy as we know it.

So, the game has an awesome backdrop and being able to use the Wiimote to control Samus should add a degree of immersion to the game (like it needed more of that). Slated to be released this August 20 in the US, it won’t be long till gamers will be able to get hold of Metroid Prime 3: Corruption. While waiting, be sure to check out the screenshots of the game.
