New Treo/s to Drop Later This Week?

The rumor mill’s all abuzz with the news – well, OK, the ‘news’ – that Palm is to announce its long-awaited (batch of?) new Treo/s later this week, which we told you about here and here, at the CTIA (Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association) Wireless 2006. Stan Sigman, President and CEO of Cingular Wireless, is supposedly all set to announce the new phone/s this Wednesday. Aside from that, though, we’ve no further details.

Billed as ‘the most important technology event of the year’, this event’s to be held from April 5 to 7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Nevada. It’s usually seen as the event of the year for the American cellphone industry. The other significant launches and what-not notwithstanding, in just a day we and other Palm aficionados should be able to determine if this event really lives up to the hype.
