Next-Gen Mobile Navigation

leftTelmap just introduced a Next-Gen Mobile Navigation Technology which enables Optimal Data Transfer to Cellphones & Other Wireless Devices. The company has a patent on Mobile Optimized Navigation Data (MOND) which offer such features as:

  • Faster route adjustment when the user makes a wrong turn or otherwise deviates from the original route, because no additional data download is necessary.
  • Data availability even when talking or leaving the wireless service area, enabling users to make phone calls while navigating and still use the navigation system even if they move out of network coverage.
  • Moving map displays that transition to each new map area as the vehicle proceeds along the route without the need to download additional information.  The sliding map zooms in and shows a maneuver map on each turn.
  • Maximum user satisfaction, based on the ability to deliver a truly professional, high-quality navigation solution with clear advantages over other systems.

“Our MOND technology enables on-the-fly, cost-efficient delivery and utilization of navigation map data even with the limited resources available on a mass-market mobile handset,” said Telmap CEO Oren Nissim.  “For the first time, mid-range cellphones, smartphones and BlackBerrys can have GPS navigation with truly high-quality rendering, map matching and natural movement from map area to map area.”
