Launched back in 2005, Nexuiz was originally developed by Alientrap as an open-source downloadble game for Windows, Linux, and OSX. Illfonic will be bringing the FPS into PSN and Xbox Live and will be the first downloadable to be powered by CryENGINE 3.

“IllFonic firmly believes in bringing the consumer the highest quality games at an affordable price through downloadable distribution channels.” said Illfonice president Charles Brungardt. “Switching to CryENGINE 3 has helped us stay true to our vision and build the Nexuiz arenas the way we see it without any limitations. We are incredibly proud that Nexuiz will be the first downloadable title developed on CryENGINE 3.”

Thanks again Peter!
