NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams delayed to Q1 2008 (for better or for worse?)
One of this season’s most anticipated titles just got a bit of the slowdown. NiGHTS: Journey of Dreams has been confirmed to be delayed. While the projected release date was sometime around October or November of this year, it’s now been rescheduled to hit retail on Q1 2008.
So what’s the reason for the delay? Well, the usual: Sega needs more time for polishing. Not that that’s entirely bad at all. Who wants a rushed game anyways?
Aside from that, common sentiment online holds that the delay might actually even prove to be good news. At least with the title getting pushed back to early next year, NiGHTS won’t have to compete with the other big titles to be released later this year like (in no particular order) Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Mario Galaxy, and – umm – Jenga.
