Nintendo DS: Mp3 Player

Header

Just when you thought Nintendo had a great product with the DS Lite, they create an add-on that makes it even more irresistible. They’re planning to install a gadget that’ll turn your gaming handheld into an mp3 player. First rumors came out during the GC, when scans of the brochure surfaced. Now they just confirmed that the mp3 player add-on is not only for the DS Lite, but also for the ‘ol GBA. Cool of Nintendo to think that there are still people out there hanging on to their GBAs. This will endear them more to fans of the old and new gen handhelds.

So how will this work then? They’ll fit the SD Card into the device, which will then act as a bridge between the handheld and the SD. It can support up to 2 GB SD; roughly 500 songs. When and how much? No official info on that yet, rumors are saying that it might coincide with the DS Browser launch on  Oct. 6. Video-capability is still unconfirmed. The price, debatable. We’ll give you the info about this product as soon as we get it.
