Nintendo says: Take your Wii and DS along in your summer vacation

Summer vacation usually means going outside to bask in the sunshine, screaming one’s lungs out in theme park rides, and cruising. Summer vacation usually means…leaving your favorite consoles at home.

Not this time. Old Ninty has come up with a plan to further infiltrate your summer vacation. Now everyone can enjoy playing the Wii and DS even they’re not at home. The Nintendo Wii, for one, is now the Official Gaming Console of Six Flags theme parks. Selected Six Flags parks will have Wii gaming stations where everyone can take turns playing for free.

Is your family going to a boring cruise? Nintendo advises you to make sure your parents choose the Norwegian Cruise Line ships. The rest of the family may just dawdle along the ship’s deck, but you’ll be swinging your Wiimote playing video games such as Wii Sports, Wii Play, WarioWare: Smooth Moves, and Excite Truck.

Nintendo Company Ltd. also has local events covered (in case you’re not going out of town). The Nintendo Street team, comprising of a trailer and as couple of SUVs fitted with Wii and DS consoles will be roaming around, showing their wares at local fairs and festivals, as well as NASCAR races throughout the summer. We wish that the Wiimobile will be included in the tour as well, to give that extra dash of cuteness.

People watching the 53-city Dick’s Sporting Goods Kick-It 3v3 Soccer Tour in their location will be surprised that, yes, Nintendo managed to sneak yet again into these events to give everyone a chance to try their hand at Wii Sports and Mario Strikers (after its launch on July 30).

But if all else fails and your summer destination doesn’t fall on any of the aforementioned locations, Nintendo has the customary Plan B planned for those who already own a Wii or DS: bring your consoles with you. The Nintendo DS is of course a no-brainer; as for the Wii, Nintendo has revealed that one of the reasons they made the Wii compact is for people to tote it around in their small bags.

Seems like Ninty has thought of everything in advance.
