Nintendo web visitors: more this year

Let's forget the GameCube already, okay? - Image 1 Nintendo ranks first place in year-to-year web traffic increase this January, says Nielsen Ratings. The maker of online games and consoles experienced an 82 percent increase among the top 10 computer hardware manufacturers’ sites, having 2.08 million unique visitors, up from 1.15 million a year ago.

Both the Wii and the DS are really helping to grab attention for Nintendo, now ranking second in the top ten computer hardware sites. On the average, Nintendo web visitors spend 19 minutes and 29 seconds on the website. Nintendo had an average of 2.1 million unique visitors last January.

We’re guessing that at the rate Nintendo’s grabbing attention with the Wii and the DS, the not-so-fond memory of the GameCube would soon fall into oblivion.
