No Space World This Year; Super Mario Galaxy Could Be A Launch Title

galaxyNintendo of America Public Relations Manager Matt Atwood has confirmed that there’ll be no Space World event this year. This will surely disappoint Ninty fans who have speculated that the event might help usher in the launch of the highly anticipated Wii.

For the benefit of the new generation of Nintendo fans, Space World is a video game trade show held to unveil new consoles or handhelds. The event is not held annually, and Nintendo usually makes a decision to hold the show or not by mid-July. The last Space World occurred in 2000 where the GameCube and Game Boy Advance strutted their stuff on the floor.

Looking on the bright side, there’s a big chance that Super Mario Galaxy might just be included in the Wii launch title lineup. When asked if the game will be a launch title, Atwood cleverly replied,  “Anything is possible.” Well, with that kind of response, we can’t help but be optimistic about seeing Super Mario Galaxy come launch time.
