A quick search on the board’s official website, however, will yield a Soldier of Fortune: Payback result carrying a MA 15+ rating, denoting that OFLC has finally changed its mind about the game.
Also, the date of classification has been revised to November 21 and the version section has a “REVISED” note beside it. When Payback was first banned, Activision was given an option to modify some parts of the game or just allow it not to be sold in the region.
Soldier of Fortune: Payback is part of the Soldier of Fortune franchise that began in March 2007. The latest iteration was released in North America just a couple of days ago. Activision has yet to name a new release date for the Australian launch.
