Orb Network MyCasting improves thanks to Wii users

Orb is free... Orb is a piece of software that lets your mobile phone, PDA, laptop, and Wii have remote access to the media files you have stored in your Windows or Media Center PC thanks to the Orb Network Inc. MyCasting service.

Broadcast your files. The files themselves never leave your PC – they are transcoded and streamed to your Wii or PDA or whatever. It’s like you’re broadcasting… it’s MyCasting.

MyCasting and Wii. Because Orb works with the Wii, over 50,000 Wii users have tried MyCasting. This got Orb excited – and they got busy finding ways to meet the needs of the Wii market.

The new and improved Wiimote-friendly Orb Mycasting. There’s a new Orb interface that’s easy to use with a Wii remote. Navigating and selecting icons is easier than ever.

Easy to install and easy to use. It is easy. In fact, here’s how:

  1. Download the free Opera Internet browser available at www.wii.nintendo.com onto your Wii game console.
  2. Download Orb at www.orb.com onto your on always-on Windows PC at home. (This takes less than 3 minutes to do. To ensure you get the new TV interface you must have Orb Version 2.0 or higher.)
  3. Turn on your TV and access the Wii main menu.
  4. Select the Internet Channel when connected to the Internet and open the browser.
  5. Using your Wii remote, log onto your Orb account through Wii at mycast.orb.com.
  6. Start MyCasting.

The bottom line. You can watch and listen to any digital content on your home PC – videos, music, Internet TV and radio or any other online content you programmed in your Orb MyCast application: they are now all airing on your TV screen. This is much like the Orb PS3, PC, and TV bridge.
